Hello! Thanks for viewing my shop. I've been teaching now for over 10 years and was a teaching assistant before that. I'm currently teaching Year 3/4 but have taught in EYFS, Year 1 and 2, & Yr 6. I've worn many hats during my teaching career and I'm now deputy head of a small but ever growing successful first school!
I love creating resources that can be used to capture and engage the children in my class that allow them to really enjoy their learning. Please get in touch and leave feedback!

Here is an Interactive Whiteboard resource full of phonic games. My class topic is Pirates so I've gone Pirate mad! There are 11 slides and 4 games/activities differentiated. Feel free to edit to suit your classes needs.
Many thanks
This game was loved by my mixed R/1 class so much that I created a 4 player A3 sheet version. It promotes reading and sharing.
This download includes 5 PDF documents with 4 game boards (20 boards in all).
Each split digraph a_e , e_e, i_e , o_e and u_e have been split into three levels of difficulty and the middle ability has a copy with the sounds highlighted to further differentiate. Boards contain a mixture of nonsense/alien words and real.
The pupils simply roll die and then move car and say word they land on. They don’t move if they can’t. The other pupils really enjoy being the ref and check their friends learning. To make it a longer game use a die just up to 3.
This can be used as a whole class activity / starter or with 1:1/group interventions.
You could simply use this to time your children on how fast they can read the words.
To extend game just overlap the game boards and make the track longer.
Children could play best out of three or you could use the game boards to set out a mini competition/tournament around the classroom. It’s also great when doing transport as a theme and to check and stretch learning.
I’ve included the word documents so that you can edit and create your own words.
Great revision activity for the upcoming phonics screening.
No real preparation needed. Simply print and use. You only need toy cars or a playing piece and a die.
I really hope you and your class enjoy this as much as my class do. Please leave feedback if possible :)
Thanks
The children love to be active during Phonic sessions. This activity can be adapted to any occasion/activity.
For example you could use it as a dart/arrow board or roll an object and see what word it lands on.
I have used it in trays or baskets and with many items that the children roll , e.g pebbles, die, small cubes, spinning tops to name a few.
This resource includes 5 pdfs which contain 4 boards each (20 in total).
They cover the split digraphs a_e e_e i_e o_e u_e and include real and nonsense words ( pseudonyms ).
This resource is editable.
I hope you and your class enjoy this activity as much as my class do.
Many thanks
I’ve created this resource to help teach my class historical facts about life in the trenches during World War 1 (The Great War).
There are 8 tasks for the children to complete using Minecraft. Some tasks have smaller, mini tasks within.
This resource is perfect to use to aid and support your teaching of the computing curriculum and uses gaming as a tool to emerse the children in WW1.
Each slide has a fact/stat to help increase the children’s knowledge.
I’m using this activity to help enrich my classes writing where we will be writing a letter from the trenches.
I hope that this resource helps your class.
Many thanks
